Fire Protection

Kardex Systems UK Ltd understand the importance of the materials stored within their machines and offer their customers the opportunity to install Fire Protection Systems which can be designed to be as basic or comprehensive as required.

To this end Kardex Systems have engaged Automatic Protection Limited (APL) to be their specialist contractor to design, install and maintain these systems on their behalf.

The systems offered range from a basic detection and extinguishing system (DetExt F/F) protecting the potentially hazardous parts of the machine (electrical motors and electronic compartments) conventional smoke & heat detection including HSSD (high sensitivity smoke detection) aspirating systems and total flood suppression systems that are designed to discharge in such a way as to allow for leakage but not over pressurise the machine.

There is also a system that can be installed to ensure that there can never be a fire, this Wagner Oxyreduct system can be installed to protect more than one machine or area with one set of equipment
